SeminoleEvening Club's Horses for Handicapped was fully attended by the riders and had overwhelming volunteer support from the Builders Club. Over twenty Builders Club members were present to help with sidewalking, maintenance and cleanup.
We always need volunteers; the program runs each Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM; there are two volunteer shifts and the second from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Get out there and help, it’s fun, rewarding and good exercise and this weekend the weather should be beautiful!
Horses continually seeks grants and funding for its regular operating expenses. Interestingly enough, the grants Horses has property; they have been unable to identify grants that help with the regular, recurring operational expenses. These expenses are provided by the Club Foundation and the District 13 Clubs, and often fall short of the mark. If anyone knows of any grants that provide operational capital, please let Bob Maus know.
